Omë

In Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs, Omë means "two", a word that speaks to duality, balance, and the coming together of complementary forces. For founder Zury, whose own heritage traces back to Aztec roots, the name represents the heart of what vintage fashion embodies: the past meeting the present, preservation meeting transformation, sustainability meeting style.

The Journey

Before Omë, Zury spent years as an art curator, developing a discerning eye for beauty, craftsmanship, and storytelling through objects. Eleven years ago, she brought that same curatorial vision to vintage fashion, seeing each piece not just as clothing, but as wearable art with its own history and soul.

What began as a passion has become a mission: to rescue extraordinary pieces from obscurity, restore them to their former glory, and give them new life in modern wardrobes. From Victorian-era treasures to contemporary designer pieces, every item at Omë is chosen with intention and brought back to its best possible condition.

The Art of Restoration

Finding the perfect piece is only the beginning. Zury travels to France, Italy, Japan, and beyond, seeking out garments that deserve a second chapter. But it's the restoration process where the real magic happens.

Working alongside skilled local artisans and craftspeople in Los Angeles, from leather workers and seamstresses to jewelers and specialty restorers, each piece is carefully evaluated and restored. This collaborative approach ensures that every item maintains its integrity while being prepared for years of wear to come.

A Curated Experience

Omë is not a thrift store, it's a carefully curated collection where every piece has been selected for its quality, uniqueness, and story. Drawing from her background in art curation, Zury approaches vintage fashion with the same rigor and vision she once brought to gallery spaces.

This commitment to curation extends to sustainability. In a world drowning in fast fashion, choosing vintage is an act of environmental responsibility. Each piece that finds a new home is one less item produced, one less contribution to textile waste, one more step toward a more sustainable future.

The Team

For the past few years, Zury has been joined by her sister April, bringing fresh energy and perspective to the Omë vision. Together with Alanna, the team works to ensure every customer experiences the care and attention that goes into each piece.

Based in Highland Park, Los Angeles, Omë operates through carefully curated events, trade shows, and online. Studio visits are available by appointment for those who want to experience the collection in person.

Our Philosophy

"Vintage fashion is wearable art. Each piece carries the craftsmanship of its era, the story of those who wore it before, and the potential for new memories to come. By choosing vintage, we honor the past, reduce our impact on the planet, and embrace a style that's truly our own."

— Zury, Founder of Omë
